Did you know you can forward emails from one account to another from the Admin console? Historically you would have to log into a user’s account and then set forwarding up. This would be a pain because you need to reset the password, and bypass 2 step verification with a backup code.

  1. Log into your Google Admin console admin.google.com
  2. Go to Apps > G Suite > Gmail > Advanced settings.
  3. On the left, select the top-level organizational unit.
  4. Next to the Recipient address map, click Configure or Edit to edit an existing setting.
  5. At the top, enter a description if required.
  6. Under Messages to affect, choose an option:
  • To apply the setting to all received messages, select All incoming messages.
  • To apply the setting to messages coming from outside of your organization, select Only external incoming messages.
  1. (Optional) To send the message to the original recipient as well as the new address, under Routing options, check the Also route to original destination box.
  2. In the box, enter the original address followed by the address that you want to map to. Separate the addresses with a comma.
    Example:
    originaladdress@yourdomain.com, newaddress@youromain.com
  3. Click Add.
  4. When you’re done making changes, click Add setting or Save. Any settings you add are highlighted on the email settings page.
  5. At the bottom of the email settings page, click Save.

It can take up to an hour for changes to take effect
